Ride 1

The Upper Charles River Trail Ride

This ride typically starts at 9:00 from the Warren Woods shed in Ashland (on Chestnut St., just south of the corner of Eliot and Chestnut Streets (across from the silo). There’s plenty of car parking available at the shed.

For those interested in meeting us at the Milford Bike Path (for a bike path only ride), we should arrive at the Route 85 parking lot (right at the Milford-Hopkinton line) very close to 10:00 a.m. Be patient; we’ll get there.

If you still haven’t treated yourself to a ride on the Upper Charles Trail, and even if you have, check out this great “virtual tour” of the ride on the club’s website. Both the video and the music are mesmerizing.

This ride will meander through the back roads of Ashland, Hopkinton and Holliston before including a round-trip on the bike path where we hope to meet up with our bike-path-only riders. After the bike path, we’ll cruise up and down some of our favorite country roads on our way to the Out Post Farm for Ice Cream, baked goodies or lunch for those who are interested.
